Vehicle tax, without the paperwork headache
TaxNGo was built to solve one frustrating problem: taxing a vehicle when the V5C document is not to hand. We combine DVLA data, Open Banking payments and a simple online flow so dealers and private keepers can get vehicles taxed faster.
Why we built TaxNGo
Car dealers often buy and sell vehicles that do not have the V5C logbook present. Private sellers sometimes misplace it. In both cases, the vehicle still needs to be taxed before it can be used legally on the road.
TaxNGo removes the friction. You enter the registration, we confirm the vehicle details from DVLA records, you choose 6 or 12 months tax, pay securely, and we handle the rest.
Our mission
To make vehicle tax as quick and simple as checking out online — while staying fully transparent about costs, data sources and what happens next.

Questions & answers
What is TaxNGo?
TaxNGo is an independent online service that lets UK car dealers and private keepers arrange vehicle road tax when the V5C logbook is not immediately available. We look up the vehicle, display the DVLA tax cost, collect payment and place the order with the appropriate tax agent.
Who is TaxNGo for?
Motor traders who need to tax stock quickly, and private vehicle owners who have lost or not yet received their V5C document. Both can use the same simple flow.
Is TaxNGo part of the DVLA?
No. TaxNGo is an independent vehicle services provider. We are not part of, or endorsed by, the DVLA or UK Government. We use official DVLA data to confirm vehicle details and arrange tax on your behalf.
How much does it cost?
We charge a flat £39 service fee per vehicle. You also pay the exact DVLA road tax amount shown at checkout, which depends on the vehicle and the tax period you choose.
How do I pay?
We use Open Banking payments, which let you pay securely directly from your bank account. This is fast, traceable and avoids card fees.
What happens after I pay?
Your order is logged in your TaxNGo account and our team processes the tax application. You receive email updates at each stage and can track progress by signing in.
