How do I tax a vehicle with TaxNGo?
Enter the vehicle registration on the homepage and click Get vehicle details. We check the DVLA record, show you the make, model and tax cost, then let you choose 6 or 12 months and pay securely by bank.
Do I need the V5C logbook?
No. TaxNGo is designed for situations where the V5C is not available. We use the DVLA vehicle enquiry service to confirm the vehicle from its registration number.
How much does the service cost?
TaxNGo charges a flat £39 service fee per vehicle. You also pay the DVLA road tax amount shown at checkout, which depends on the vehicle and tax period.
What payment methods do you accept?
We use Open Banking, which lets you pay directly from your UK bank account. It is secure, fast and confirms instantly.
How long does it take to tax the vehicle?
Payment confirmation is usually instant. We then process the tax order and update you by email. Most orders are completed the same working day.
Can I use TaxNGo as a car dealer?
Yes. TaxNGo is built for motor traders. You can create an account, tax multiple vehicles and track all your orders in one place.
What if the registration is not found?
Check the plate is entered correctly, including spaces. If it still cannot be found, the vehicle may not be on the DVLA database yet, for example if it has just been imported or registered.
Can I get a refund if the tax cannot be placed?
If we are unable to complete the tax application, your service fee and DVLA tax payment will be refunded in line with our terms. Contact us through your account if you need help.
How do I view my orders?
Sign in to your TaxNGo account and go to My orders. You will see every vehicle you have taxed, the status and any updates.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use bank-grade security for payments and only request the information needed to place the tax order. We do not store your bank login details.
